  • Creating a Contract

It often takes two, or more, parties to draw up a contract, and there's often more than one revision!

Historically, lawyers might fax each other working documents. The receiving party might mark-up required changes for review, and would often end up re-entering the document for further editing.

    Contract

Sending document electronically has its problems. How do you know what's changed? More importantly, how do you know what you started with?

Sending someone a Word document is like writing a blank cheque; if you take back their revisions (overwriting your original) you'll never know who proposed what.

    Solution

Keep-It can allow you to send electronic copies of documents that can't be altered, but can be edited! You can't change a revision, but you can restore it.

Passing a Keep-It archive back-and-forth lets everyone see every revision. No one can be in any doubt who proposed what. Yet, by simply restoring any revision, you can continue to edit the document without re-entering it.

Create a new snapshot, send it back round, and everyone can review, accept, or reject the changes. Everything is saved, and nothing can be overwritten.
